Home For The Holidays

Wow, what a great christmas! It was so amazing to have everyone home for the holidays. We did so many fun things: Gingerbread houses, my birthday, bowling. my birthday, watching movies, my birthday, playing games, my birthday, and just being together. I had a great birthday, despite the sickness of my mother. I really had no idea how much she keeps the family glued together. She wasn't there to baby me on my birthday, so dad stepped up and did a great job. It will stand as one of the best birthdays I have ever had. Thanks dad! I would also like to say thanks for those who kept hearing me say, " I don't want to get sick", or " Are the germs dead?" Thanks for putting up with that. Sorry dad, You have daughters with O.C.D. and a daughter that is a hypochondriac, but hey, It could be worse. Thanks mom and dad for the best Christmas ever!! I love you guys!

Suprise!!

Oh my goodness. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful and thoughtful people in my life. I just can't thank you guys enough! I am so grateful that family came all the way up to come and spend the evening with me and my friends. I know that it must have been difficult with the kids and everything else, so i am so appreciative of everyone that was there. You guys are the best family andone could ask for. I am really super grateful to have the best boyfriend ever! Aaron was so sweet to plan and call and make sure that everything was in order for my birthday suprise. He is so great and i love him to pieces!
Thanks again to everyone that came. I love you guys and I can't wait to spend my real birthday with everyone. I will post pictures later.

It's Still Rock and Roll To Me

I've decided to fill you guys in on my Wednesday nights. Aaron and I usually go out to eat with some friends and than all of us go and hit up our favorite wednesday night spot, Mapleleaf, an asian restaurant and karokee bar. It is such a blast to go and hear people get up and sing their hearts out. I, of course, am not one of those. For those of you who know me well, I have a slight fear of crowds and making a complete fool of myself in front of those crowds. I mostly go to relax and enjoy the socializing with my friends. Aaron is a regular and he is so great. He gets up there every week, usually more than once, and sings. He gets really into it sometimes. When he's up there , he looks like a regular Jon Bon Jovi ( which, funny enough, is one of his favorite artist to sing to).He has dedicated a few of them to me, and i usually hide my face, but i love it. He sings enough for the both of us, so i don't feel like i should have to get up there. I did it once and i feel like i fulfilled my fear and i don't feel the need to do it again. When I get the nerve to get up there again, Aaron wants to sing a duet. Which i don't think will be anytime soon. Sorry, Aaron.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

As most of you know, Saturday was the only day it snowed, so Aaron and I had to take
advantage of it and take some cheesey couple pictures outside in the snow. It was so cold and my feet were freezing and soaked, but i had to get some pictures of the beautiful Seattle weather and for the blog so i could make a new post. After the pitctures I could not help myself, so i made a big, cold snowball and playfully threw it at Aaron. I am happy to say that there was no retaliation.

New York State Of Mind

Here are just a few pictures from my trip to New York. I had so much fun with Steph/Blake and the kids. We did all kinds of things. Went to Central Park, Greenwhich Village, Times Square, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Blake even took the kids a couple of nights so that Steph and i were able to go out sans kids and stroller. It was so hot! I think it must have been 85 to 90 degrees everyday and it certainly doesn't help that Steph likes to keep her apartment at an even 75 degrees. It is nice to be home, but I loved to be with steph and her cute little family. Blake and steph were so kind and hospitable! The all day traveling was so worth it to go and be with family.
Dane was so cute and adorable, not a very good sleeper, but still so much fun. Evy was such a blast and so funny. Nothing was cuter than hearing her say, "uh-oh.. choking hazard"!, while she picked up my ear plugs off the floor. While steph and i were out in hot and busy Manhattan frustrated and stressed, it was hard not to ease up when I heard Evy singing at the top of her lungs," When my mother calls me quickly i obey, for mommy knows just what is right each and every day". It was such much fun to spend time with them and i hope to do it again soon. And to my peeps in New York; I love you and i miss you tons already! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Do The Puyallup

Here are some pictures of Aaron and I when we went to the fair on Monday. We both took the day off cause i wanted to be sure that we had the full affect .Being that this is Aaron's 4th month here, he has not expereinced the beauty of the fair. We had so much fun! He was always camera ready, even when we were on the top of the roller coaster. He is not a big fan of scones, which i think could be a big red flag. How could you not love those fair scones??? We did split a huge elephant ear, which was delicious. It only rained for about the first hour that we were there, but we didn't let it bother us. I told him that i love to go on rides and i think that may be the best part of a fair, so we probably spent about $45-50$ on tickets for the rides. That is just a small price to pay for fun at the fair!!

Michelle+Aaron

This is Aaron, the new man in my life.He claims to be a closet nerd. He graduated from BYU-Idaho, he was a math tutor in college, he plays the organ(really well) and he works at Microsoft! The nerd thing is very enduring and it is one of the things that i really like about him. I know a lot of you have been wondering if he really does exsit since i have not brought him around, but he is real and we are dating. He has actually met mom, dad, dave, and jen already. We had dinner together after dave's white ciat ceremony. He passed meeting the fam test with flying colors! I was so impressed and it made me lilke him even more. I always get nervous to bring guys home to meet the fam, not quite sure why. Maybe cause all of you are so amazingly awesome that I would hook him even more than I already have. He even got grandpa's approval. I guess a firm handshake really impresses the old folks.
I have so much fun with him and he is so thoughtful and sweet. He already takes out the trash(without asking), and he helps me do the dishes! I didn' t have to domesticate him at all. We have gone on so many fun dates. Shooting ranges, concerts in the park, Snoqualmie Falls, Drive ins, bowling and go carts! He went to have dinner with the fam on sunday and he had so much fun it was hard for me to get him to leave. I am excited to see where this goes and i will give updates on fun things we do and maybe a certain pharse that i know some of you are dying to know if he has said it or not ( Mom)!
P.S. He would kill me if i told you he plays the organ and loves math, so if you ever meet him, don't mention the above blog. Thank you!

My New 'Do

I know that this is kind of weird that I put my new haircut up as a blog, but it was a pretty drastic change. The hairdresser kept asking me, "Do you want it shorter"? and I kept saying,"Keep cutting! Make it short"! I was so tired of long hair that I really needed it cut. It will take some getting used to, but I really like it.

Out with the Old, In with the New

"The better part of one's life consists of his friendships"

As many of you know, I have recently recieved a new roommate. It has been a hard change for me because as many of you also know, i am not a fan of change.
This is Christie and i miss her a ton. We had a hard beginning, but we got to be so close toward the end. She always had good advice and she was great to talk to. She has moved onto bigger and better things with her new boyfriend and soon to be fiancee Ben. I look forward to the fun time that we will have at the Justin TImberlake concert! This is the old.

This is the new. My new roommate Eve. She just graduated from BYU. She is a biologist, which makes her super smart. She is so sweet and laid back. She is definetely a lot cleaner than my older roommate, which is nice. She is interested in my blog and she is not a fan of dogs, which makes me like her all the more.

My First Blog Ever

After much pressure and persuasion from the fam, i have finally decided to hop on the band wagon and start blogging! It has taken me awhile to get started because everyone else in the family has such awesome blogs that the bar has been set pretty high, but i think that I am up to the challenge, so bring it on!! I am not a very eloquent writer and story teller like some of my fellow bloggers in the family, so everyone needs to cut me a break for the first few blogs, please.
I do hope that you will find my stories funny and entertaining and hopefully good enough so that i will get some comments(maybe even more than Steph). I would like to thank everyone at the sunday dinner that helped me pick out the title. It was tough, but everyone came through for me in the end. I hope to get some pictures up soon! I hope that you all enjoy my blog and that you are able to vicariously relive your single life through me. Advice on dating and weird guy behavior are welcome!
